In
2010, the Association of Moving Image Archivists and the
International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives will come
together for the first time in a joint conference. The IASA/AMIA Conference
will provide an opportunity for colleagues and those interested in all
aspects of the field to meet, share information and discover mutual
solutions.
Organized
by working audiovisual archivists, the conference program focuses on
urgent problems faced by the "lone arranger" to a national
collection, with attention to pressures of shifting technologies and
managing budgets. Each hour is packed with practical and essential information
on film, video, and audio issues and there is direct access to presenters
and vendors for services and technology to do your job.
