From Anchorage, you travel 30-minutes north to the village of Eklutna. Your Paddle and Peddle will take you into the heart of the Chugach Range. The Eklutna Lakeside Trail is a thirteen-mile trail meandering along the shoreline of the eight-mile long Eklutna Lake and extending five miles beyond. Eklutna Trail is really two trails, which share many sections. A low trail skirts the edge of the lake and is restricted to foot and bicycle travel. A wider upper trail is basically a gravel road that shares use with ATVs on certain days. At the end of the lake is debris from the winter 2000 avalanche, an awesome result of the power of Mother Nature. Are you ready for epic adventure along Eklutna Lake? The Paddle and Pedal tour offers the most extensive experience to see the Chugach National Forest at its finest. This is the most popular option in the area. You will kayak out 8-miles one way to the end of the lake where you will have a bike waiting for the return trip! This trip is moderate to strenuous due to the length of the trip. The lake is flat water but may have wind; there is no current or tide. The bike trail has some hills, but they can be avoided by choosing the trail you want, which our experienced staff will help you pick by reviewing the map prior to your departure. This trip is on your own allowing you to set your own pace.

Tour Departure From Eklutna: This Trip Takes 5 To 6 Hours To Complete Once Arriving At The Eklutna Cabin. Check-In At The Cabin No Later Than 11:00AM.
