AMIA Publications Committee Meeting
Agenda - December 2, 2005
Friday - 1:00pm - 2:00pm - Room 602

Looking for a Few Good Manuscripts!

The AMIA Book Publishing Program Task Force is pleased to announce that AMIA will soon be joining forces with the Society of American Archivists to establish a joint publishing effort.  In anticipation of launching this exciting new program, the Task Force has planned an informal session during the conference where AMIA conference attendees may come to hear about the new venture and discuss potential publications with the co-chairs of the Task Force.  We will have information about how the publishing process will work, and most importantly, how you can develop and submit your manuscripts.  Manuscripts can be developed either by committee/interest groups or by individual authors.  There are no limits on the number of ideas for potential publications--although we do ask you to consider carefully the feasibility of doing a project (including the resources required and the timeline for completion).

This event will be held on Friday, December 2nd from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in Room 602 of Austin Hilton.  If you have a conflict with this time, please contact one of the co-chairs (Karen Gracy or Nancy Marrelli, e-mail addresses below) and we will be happy to meet with you at another time during the conference.

See you at the conference!
