Access Committee Meeting
Agenda
The AMIA Access Committee meeting will be held Friday, December 2, 1:00pm -
2:00pm - Room 402 during the AMIA Annual Conference in Austin,
Texas.
AMIA members interested in discussing Access issues and contributing to the Committee's work are invited to attend. If you are interested but are not attending the Conference, or unable to attend the Friday meeting, please contact the Chair offlist.
Items on the agenda for the meeting include:
1. Brief overview of Committee members' current Access needs and issues.
2. "Film in the Age of Digital Reproduction" Project.
Access issues regarding digital uses of archival films for museum/gallery/public exhibitions and installations (co-project with the Projection & Presentation subcommittee).
3. "Access to Collections: Documents Project." Online resource of sample forms and policies from various institutions. This project is currently seeking a Manager.
4. Discussion of previous panel and event proposals including "Archive as Producer," re 2006 Conference.
5. Report from Projection & Presentation Subcommittee.
6. New Business: Internal restructuring of the Committee; New member involvement and survey; Potential future projects.
